Tips and Tricks: 3 Tips to instantly take better photo's

Ok so I know what your thinking. We don't always have a portable photographer in our pocket to capture all those precious moments right? I agree, most people don't! So grab a cuppa and sit down for a quick list on 3 ways to improve your photography skills instantly!

You don't need a fancy expensive camera to use these tips, any smart phone can give you beautiful images for life's little moments.

Tip #1 - Don't be afraid to try new angles!

You always see the world from about a metre and a half off the ground. Everyone see's the world from a similar angle. So the first tip is a simple one. Change up your height!

How would a dog see the world? What about a koala? So go ahead and take that shot from up really high, or down really low and close to the ground - you may be surprised at what you create.

You are guaranteed to produce interesting and creative photo's by just changing up the height at which you take your shot!

Tip #2 - Clean your lens!

Tip number 2 shouldn't even have to be said but it is amazing the amount of people who don't realise their lens has to be clean to get that crisp beautiful shot, yes even on your iPhones!

Do yourself a favour and give it a quick wipe before you take a photo. You will thank yourself later when your image is beautiful, crisp and clear of little Johnny's fingerprints!

Tip #3 - Experiment with framing

One of the golden rule for photographers has to be the 'rule of thirds'. Basically The Rule of Thirds is the process of dividing an image into thirds, using two horizontal and two vertical lines, creating a grid. The idea being you place your subject along these lines, therefore the subject ends slightly off-centre in the finished image.

Off-center composition is pleasing to the eye because it’s typically where the eyes go first.

So next time you go to take a photo of that beautiful flower, or your beautiful partner, shift them slightly off to the side and experiment with the results.

So there you have it. Three easy tips to improve your photo's instantly. So get out there and have fun! Photography is what you make of it.

And if you just can't and just want it done for you, click here and you can book in so I can create those memories for you!
